Your Experience
Step by step guide to your perfect Wedding Cake
I understand how overwhelming planning a wedding can be, so this is why I've created this step by step guide so you know what your Cake & Coe experience will involve and the rough timings you can expect.
Get in touch and book your date
My diary tends to open 12-18 months ahead of time, and it’s never too early to get booked in.
I only take on one Wedding Cake each weekend, so as you can imagine, dates get limited pretty quickly!
You don’t need to know your final design at this point, simply just have a look at our packages and starting prices to ensure you’re happy and we can work out the rest later. You can even download our brochure for more information.
Your date will be secured with a £150 booking fee.
To get started simply fill in the enquiry form to find out if your date is available.
However if you’ve found me with less than 12 months to go, please still drop me a message to see if I can accommodate.
Signature Flavour Tasting Boxes
Twice a year I arrange Signature Flavour Taster boxes for all my couples to try all 6 of our most popular flavours. These will be posted to you so you can enjoy them together in your own time, and will usually be 4-6 months before your big day.
Don’t forget to keep a note of your favourites and bring these to your design consultation, or email them to me if you just can’t wait!
Choose from: Vanilla & Strawberry. Zesty Lemon, White Chocolate & Raspberry, Red Velvet. Chocolate & Salted Caramel, Pistachio & Orange
or if you’ve got your heart set on another flavour, pop it in the details on your enquiry form and I’m sure we can work something out (as long as it’s not fruit cake!)
Your Design Consultation & Digital Sketch
3-4 months before your big day you’ll likely have started to finalise all your styling plans and colour scheme with your venue and stylist. It’s at this point we will book in your design consultation via zoom at a mutually convenient time.
We will discuss everything from flavours, to colours, number of tiers, portions, stands, flowers, design & anything you can think of!
Following this I will create a personalised digital design sketch so you can see your cake come to life.
Final Payment Due
After we’ve agreed on your design, I will generate your final invoice which will take into account all your design details (minus your booking fee).
This balance must be paid at least 6 weeks before your Wedding to ensure I can order in any custom features required in plenty of time.
All payments are made via BACS transfer – details on invoice.
Supplier coordination
During your design consultation, or before, I will ask you to complete a questionnaire to ensure I have the details of your suppliers and any important people you want me to liaise with on the day.
For example your florist and stylist to arrange cake flowers and table styling, your photographer so I can mention any cake shots you’re desperate to get, your venue coordinator so they know when to expect me and I can ensure they have all the storage and allergen information they need.
Your Big Day!
This is where you get to sit back, relax and enjoy the magic of the whole day you’ve been working so hard to plan!
You’ll be getting ready with all your girls or guys while I arrive at the venue. This is usually a couple of hours before your ceremony kicks off, however if you have a room turnaround (ie ceremony in the same space as your wedding breakfast), then I will liaise with your venue and coordinator to agree a time that works for both the cake and the logistics of your day.
Before I leave, I’ll ensure it is picture perfect, as well as meeting your venue coordinator to hand over any cutting/storage/allergen information,.
Then all that’s left is for you to get married and have your big cake cutting moment, before you and all your guests get to tuck in and enjoy your delicious choice of flavours.
